Well, where to start about my trip on Thursday and Friday...
THURSDAY
Let see, Tristyn woke me up early again on Thursday. Well, it was early to me. I went to bed very late because I was up most of Wednesday night/Thursday early morning re-working the HTML code and design on my tech-tonics.com website. It has more than just one page now. I have it looking like the way I had it a few months ago, but not so complicated this time. Check it out! Sorry, no Santa hat on the
M of .com... Yet... I'll wait until after Thanksgiving.
Well, I finally got up around 11:30AM and started to get ready to leave. Before I could leave town, I had to ship a package to someone in New York who finally bid on and won the pack of cards that I placed on eBay three, four weeks ago. I didn't make a profit on it. I just ended up making back the money it took to place it on eBay 3 or 4 times.
I then went and picked Tristyn up and we headed to my work to pick up my paycheck. Cashed it and headed up to Brigham City. We had to stop at the Wal-Mart in Brigham City because I needed get some socks. lol. We then continued on up through Sardine Canyon, up on through Logan into Franklin, Idaho. We had to stop at La Tienda to cash our previous winning lotto tickets. After that, we drove on into Preston, Idaho. We decided two things when we drove into town. One, we will drive up on into Pocatello, Idaho to spend the night there, and two, we will stop and eat at Big J Burger in Preston before heading up on through to Pocatello.
We finished eating and headed on up into Pocatello. Just a bit of advice... When traveling on lone roads and you are listening to your iPod, have another person change the song or artist or whatever function for you. If Tristyn didn't say anything, I would have rolled my car because a turn came out of no where while I was looking down at my iPod.
We had to stop really quick in Downey, Idaho at the Shell Gas station. That is a must when visiting that part of Idaho. After Downey, I kept driving north to Pocatello. When we arrived to Pocatello, I got off the first exit and started driving around Pocatello to find a place to stay. Ugh! Trying to find your way around there is a nightmare. Well, we finally found a Holiday Inn (that was the best looking hotel/motel up there) and registered to stay there for the night. Unloaded my car of our luggage and then we headed to the store to get some alcohol.
While we were drinking (in the room), we watched Golden Girls. I haven't watched that show in YEARS! After that was over, we found something on HBO about the Adult Video Industry. Did you know that there is an award show for these things? And also, the porn that Andy tries to watch in "The 40 Year Old Virgin" called, "Space Nuts" (a mock of Star Wars), is an actual porn video. It won best comedy in porn. LoL!
After that watching that show on HBO, Tristyn and I tried to straighten up our act to walk down to the gas station near the hotel, but failed every time because every minute we were cracking each other up because of how stupid we were acting. We first has to stop by the lobby of our hotel and use the internet on the complimentary computer. That's sad. Even on vacation, I can't get away from a computer.
We came back to the room and I partied some more. Now I see why I shouldn't drink anymore... I opened my "vault". I am not going to say what I talked about, just that I need to express myself and talk more often when normal.
After getting that personal stuff off my chest, Tristyn soon after fell asleep and I stayed up drinking more and watched an episode of
Frasier.
I did exactly the one thing that I wanted to do on this trip... I got wasted. Well, because of me doing that, I know it's not best for me to drink anymore because of how bad I was in the morning.
FRIDAY
How bad did it get? ... I won't get into the full details, but Tristyn had to drive us home. She found it kind of funny that whenever we take her car, I always drive (95% of the time) and she will rest when I drive. This time, we took my car and she drove home while I slept. So, the car ride home was a blur because I slept.
When we got back to Salt Lake, we came to my house and we both crashed (me some more). Later, I had gotten enough strength back to take Tristyn home. Also, I could finally eat something and could keep it down.
Later Friday night, Tristyn came back over to my house. We then drove to my work because we had to drop off some "presents".
Well, one thing is for sure. No more alcohol. I've had my fun. Now it's time to get back to being serious again.
I know that young people, like my brother, read this blog. I just want to say that alcohol is not the way to go. There are other and much better things you could be doing...
