This Just In...

Every 15th and end of the month, I will post stuff that I wanted to post here, but it didn't seem like I have enough data to post a full entry about it, or is about something that is coming up in my life or anything that I just wanted to post and just forgot to post when I had the time but ended up forgetting... Hopefully you get the point.

- Of course I'm on MySpace!... But who are some of my friends? Well, if I know you personally and you have a MySpace account, there is a good chance that I have you down as one of my friends. But what about famous people? Well, here is my list:

- Gabriel Iglesias (comedian)
- Pablo Francisco (comedian)
- Darren Carter (comedian)
- Stephanie Monk (actress)
- Jon Lovitz (actor)
- The Handsome (musicians from Provo)
- Garth Brooks (musician)
- Dane Cook (comedian)

...At the moment, I am still waiting for a reply from The Postal Service (band) and Drew Carey (comedian).

- Do you realize, now that June is starting tomorrow, Christmas is already less than 6 months away?! CRAP!

- My friends Top 8 (on MySpace) is ranked by how many comments you have posted. The more you post, the higher your position goes. If the number of comments is a tie, then the person who posted the last comment first, is awarded the tie-breaker. Have fun and go start posting comments!!!

- Let the records state that this is probably the longest I have had Windows installed on the computer I am using now without reformatting my hard drive and reinstalling Windows. Four months!!! According to iTunes, the first song that was played after I re-installed iTunes was on January 31st. For those of you who don't know me that well, the longest I have ever had Windows installed was probably under 3 months! Well, let's see how long this can last...

- I was originally going to sign up to walk Snickers (my dog) in the Strut-Your-Mutt this year, but I guess that time of the half-year came around for her and we couldn't do it. They do not allow dogs that are in heat to get near. So, maybe next year.

- As of me posting this, I now have 800+ points since starting Yahoo! Answers on the 20th... Sweet! It's not just answering questions that gets you points. Every time you get a Best Answer, you get another 10. You can vote for best answer if one has not been decided after the question is now close (1 point). You can get 1 point if you also vote Thumbs Up or Thumbs Down on a Best Answer. 2 points if someone vote Thumbs Up on your Best Answer. And at the moment, I have answered 144+ questions, 16 of those have been picked as Best Answers.

- As I posted on the 15th, I was planning on traveling out to visit JoAnna in California during the late part of July. Well, that plan fell through because something better came up. She is coming out here for the Napoleon Dynamite Festival. SWEET!!! So from July 6th though probably the 8th or 9th, I will not be posting anything on those days. I will be up in Idaho. On the days that she is still here after the festival, I will just post some questions that you folks have asked me. It won't be until after she heads back home that I will take the time to sit down and write what adventures she and I had during that time. Also, the pictures I take will not be up for a few days after I post that entry... Oh, and JoAnna................ You need to tell me what days you are getting off so I can ask for those as well...

- Yes, the picture I used on the 27th of me in my Vote For Pedro shirt, I have used it before on this blog. But here is something you don't know: if you look closer, you can see hives starting to break out on my skin because I was starting to get really irritated with the way things were going at the time of the festival. Now, when ever you see that picture, you are probably going to be freaked out... Ah ha!

- Guess I have been doing okay in spelling and grammar on my blog entries. I haven't had anyone write me in the past few days.

Laugh It Up

"Who is your favorite comedian?" - Tristyn

You should know this by now. It's Mitch Hedberg. However, he is not the only one I enjoy listening to. I also enjoy (in alphabetical order) Jack Black, George Carlin, Dave Chappelle, Dane Cook, Bill Cosby, Bill Engvall, Pablo Francisco, Jim Gaffigan, Gabriel Iglesias, Richard Jeni, Eddie Murphy, Ray Romano, Brian Regan, Adam Sandler, Robert Schimmel, Jerry Seinfeld, Ron White, Daniel Lawrence Whitney, Stephen Wright...

I also enjoy listening to XM Comedy 150. There are so many other hilarious comedians out there that I have heard, but can not remember their names.

Sweet! While checking out Brian Regan's web page, I see that he is coming to Salt Lake on the 7th of December. I am so there...

Wild Thing

"Do you believe in the Loch Ness monster?" - Tristyn

Nessie? Had you asked me this years ago when I was younger, I would have said yes. Now, I am only skeptical. There maybe something out there, but when it comes to science, I need or would like to have proof...

I was going to put the video clip of Napoleon giving his current event speech about Nessie, but when I post videos, I try to post stuff that you have possibly never seen before...

History 101

"If you could interview anyone in history, who would it be and why?" - JoAnna

I would probably want to interview Einstein, I mean, if he spoke English. I don't know if he did because he was raised in Germany. However, during WWII, he moved to the US to escape the Nazi exile, and came here to teach. So, I am taking it that he did.

But to know that much knowledge, that just blows my mind.

While trying to read a little about him on Wiki, most of his formulas and equations, even though simplified as much as possible, still blow my mind because I still do not understand the greatness of these formulas. All we know (and were told in school, mainly science) is that he is the most famous scientist of all time.

As to what I would ask him, I don't have the slightest clue....

Have You Voted?

"How many Napoleon Dynamite t-shirts do you own?" - Tristyn

Gosh darn it! Let me go look........ 12, but they are not all the basic "Vote For Pedro" t-shirts. I only have about 3 of those. Many are with sayings or they are from Pop-N-Pins or from Big J's... Some I bought that you could have only have purchased during the 2005 Napoleon Dynamite Festival.

Oh, speaking of. I just wanted to mention that I have updated my 2005 NDF page. Since I only had a few photos of some of the events, I figured I could post them all on one page instead of trying to do it by event (which was how I had it before the update.)

Sitting... Waiting... Wishing...

"What is your dream career?" - Tristyn

To be a licensed PC technician with my own tech shop... But like I have said before, who knows what will happen to each one of us in our lives.

We're Going To Miss Flipper!!!

"What was your favorite TV show as a kid?" - JoAnna

As a kid.... Ah, jeez. I don't personally recall having a favorite show when I was younger. I do remember watching Trans-Formers, G.I. Joe, Care Bears, Garfield, Sesame Street, Mr. Rogers, Today's Special, Rainbow Bright (shut up... my sister watched it, so I watched it with her...), Ghostbusters. Like most children at a young age, they all had VHS tapes of shows or movies, that they would watch over and over and over and... well, you get my point.

We never had Cable (when it was introduced in the 80's... and we still don't), but a neighbor of ours (where we use to live) taped some stuff from the Disney Channel (yep, it was on that far back) and gave us the tape. I just remember watching a lot of Disney movies. We still have those tapes too... lol.

The first show that I can recall that I really got into (because of the second movie) was Ghostbusters. But that wasn't until 1989, when I was 9.

Ten years ago today, I believe the world lost an extraordinary and talented musician. Due to an addition he struggled to shake most of his later life, he finally lost his war with heroin. Bradley Nowell was a musician beyond what anyone could have imagine.

If you are wondering why I am writing about him, I too have struggled with drugs and alcohol. And I remember thinking near the end of me using, that I could possibly end up like him (get into other things much worse and parish), or slowly get my life back together.

Well, look where I am at today...

As a bonus for my MySpace profile, I've decorated it in tribute for today only...

"I Get By With A Little Help From My Friends..." - The Beatles

I had a busy day yesterday!

I told Tristyn during our I/M session (around 2/3AM) to come over and wake me up at 10AM. So I got very little sleep I didn't get to bed until around 4AM, and then. However, we did get a lot on my To Do List done.

After getting ready and dressed, we first stopped off at the library to pick a CD I had reserved. Then we had to run and a refill my meds. Then stopped off at Target to get my glasses adjusted. I need to go back in to get them tightened now. Came home, ripped the CD into my computer and uploaded it onto my iPod.

Then, Tristyn called that placed (for me) that owned the truck that flicked the rock at my windshield. They still deny that they were even in Salt Lake and won't do anything about it. So, I am going to take the windshield into Techna Glass (where I got the windshield) tomorrow to see if they can do a rock chip repair. If it still looks bad, or they can't, I am going to Get Gephardt. If he can't do anything, then I am going to probably go to court for this. I hope it doesn't have to go that far.

After dealing with those idiots from that trucking company, we loaded up in the trunk of my car, the server, computer and monitor that was given to me that didn't work (I'll tell you what I did with these in just a second). We left the house again this time and first returned the CD I had just picked up, then headed over to Tristyn's house to pick up some stuff she had to return to the library downtown.

While we were heading downtown on I-15, around 13th South, the traffic really slowed down. I thought there was an accident up ahead. However, right before the 6th South exit, it started to ease up again. After getting off the off ramp, we noticed helicopters and a swarm of police near Little America. We didn't know what was going on. So, Tristyn called her mom and we found out that the president of Mexico was in town. So, we dropped off her things and continued on to do another thing on my list. Take a picture of this wall near the Gateway Plaza. I wanted to originally get in the picture, but since there were two guys (that probably worked near by) tossing a football back and forth during their break or lunch time, I couldn't. So, I just took the picture (>>>) and got back in the car.

We then headed on up to Park City to a recycling place that actually recycles computers and computer products. We had to pay $5 as a drop off fee for the monitor, but it was worth it to just get it out of my room! After dropping that stuff off, we drove over to Main Street. We walked up and down the street before deciding to go eat at The Red Banjo (a pizza place). However, they were closed for remodeling. So, we decided to go and eat at Mt. Air Cafe. But they too were closed. Not for remodeling, but it looks like there was a fire that destroyed the building. I hope they rebuild it, because that was a really good place to eat. So, since there was no where else in Park City that sounded good to eat, we decided to head back to Salt Lake and go eat at Super Salad.

After lunch, came home and moved a lot of the boxes that were in my room, downstairs. That helped make room to move around a again and to also lay down for a nap. So we took a small nap before being woken up again. My mom said that they were going to try having Snickers mate again around 7PM. Apparently (since I found out from Tristyn, not my parents), they took her over to my aunts house to have her mate with a friends dog on Monday night. The dog couldn't get it in... So, they planned to meet again last night. So Tristyn and I took her over to the house and we let them do their thing. The other dog is smaller in size compared to Snickers, so I could see how it may not have got in. Well, he succeeded last night and she did not like that one bit. Let me tell you something for those of you who have not see this act. It's not like the movies where the dog just gets on, does his things and leaves... No! For some reason, the female dog's muscles tighten up and hold his "who-who" in until it lets it go. This is to ensure that she holds whatever in. Well, Snickers was wining like a dog who had it's foot stuck in bear trap. Oh, it was sad to me because she is my baby. And to know there is nothing you can do to help, you just have to help hold her and pet her and massage her on her head and back. Well, after more than 10 minutes, the muscles finally let go and we both went our separate ways. Boy, was she angry after getting in the car (lol). Can you imagine if this happened to people? Having sex would suck!

Well, we brought her back home and had to give her a bath. But to make sure, we are going to have them try again tonight. I won't be there because I will have to be at work.

After we gave her her bath, we ordered pizza and watched MST3K: The Movie. But Tristyn and I both ended up crashing after about half way through the movie.

...And that was my day...

I Hope You Now Understand Why...

Whenever someone ask me what I would like for my birthday or for Christmas (presents/gifts), I always tell them that "I do not need anything" because "I am fine". Then that person gets mad at me, like I am being a jerk to them. Well, here is why I say, "I do not need anything" in the first place.

First, view the picture on the right to see a much larger scale of what my room looks like right now. (And no, there is no Waldo to look for either)

Now, half of this stuff in this picture is either going to the D.I., on eBay or the recycling center (magazines, computer parts). Then, another quarter of this is going in boxes and being placed downstairs for the time being. The remaining quarter, is staying in the room.

Right now, as I write this, my bed is covered with stuff (and I have stuff beneath the bed too). So, I am sleeping on the floor... next to the door where the only space for me to sleep is available.

Since my birthday is coming up, please remember this blog entry and don't get me anything that will end up in this mess!!! If you want to get me something, I'll take cash because I always have bills!!! But, that is if you do get me anything.

Oh Goodie, We Are Going To Talk About Computers...

"What is your earliest memory involving a computer, and explain about it?" - Tristyn

The earliest memory I can recall, involving a computer, would have to be the night my family got our first computer. I won't go into great detail since I have answered a similar question not to long ago. I just remember the night we got it and had our neighbors over trying to help set it up. I also remember the next morning, or any morning that I booted that thing up. Like most computers still do today, the internal speaker that beeps when you boot your computer, was really loud, that I had to use my hand to cover it started. I thought it would wake anyone who could hear it. lol

¡Salute!

"What are you allergic to?" - Tristyn

Cats are at the top of list. Then dust, pollen... Some dogs, depending on their breed and if they shed. Luckily, I am not allergic to any foods or medicines that I know of.

Happy Birthday Jackie

Hey everyone, it's Jackie's birthday today! If you know or see her, be sure to wish her a Happy Birthday!!!

Sorry, I didn't post this earlier. I have been dealing with the DMV today...

La La La La La La La La La...

"Who is the most annoying person you know?" - JoAnna

Natalie H.! No questions asked-- Congratulations, the award goes to her.

I'm going to describe her the best I can from what I remember. JoAnna, I know you have your own stories, but you will have to send them in as a comment or your own blog entry if you want people to read them...

(I was 20/21 years old, back in 2000/2001, around this time frame...) JoAnna went to school with this girl Natalie. And Natalie thought it was her personal duty to hook you up with someone. Doesn't matter who, she just wanted you to be hooked up. She would too. I actually went to a dance with one of her friends-friend, whom she met on Teen MatchMaker.com. (In case you are wondering, the girl was too young for me to date, so that was the end of that...)

However, with other people she was able to make couples out of, she also had a thrill watching that couple slowly fall apart because of her. Like most teenage high school girls, they like to gossip and spread rumors about other people. Well, she would say something (most likely untrue) to one person (that she helped hook up) about the other person (in that relationship), and see what damage or information it would cause. Do you remember playing "Radio", or whatever it was called, where you whisper a sentence in a persons ear, and they had to pass the message down the to the next person, and so on.... Natalie was this "Radio", and boy did she screw what you say up. This would cause great damage. lol.

I know there is more out there about her, but I haven't figured out how she was sneaky (mind games), or the nicest way to say it here. To tell you the truth, had I stopped hanging out with her a lot earlier, a lot of bad things (chain events) would have not have happened to me and other people I care about, had I done so... Damn!

Another Upgrade

I recently told you back in February that Microsoft had a beta version of Internet Explorer 7 out (for anyone who owns a legal copy of Windows). Now I get to tell you about another Microsoft beta version (for anyone to use): Windows Media Player 11.

Remember, like most Microsoft products, you can not uninstall it and install the previous version. So if you go through with installing this program, you are stuck with it... Unless you reinstall Windows. You have been warned.

At first, it took a while for it to install (give or take 5 minutes). But once it finished installing, my firewall caught something wanting a outbound connection. It's called URGE. It's part of the program, and I think it is WMP's own music store. Then later, something called COM Surrogate wanted access... How many things does this thing have that wants internet access?

The first thing you notice is the difference in what the program now looks like from before (versions 9 and 10). It has a black border, and when you hover your mouse over any buttons, it makes it appear like you are using features found in the future version of Microsoft Windows Vista. This is the only cool thing about this program.

The first problem I have with WMP11 is that you sometimes have to minimize the program to access your START menu or to view any other window/program that you have open. The second problem I have is that it takes a while for the program to load, and a few seconds for it to respond. Third, I had to mess around with it before I found where you can change the setting so that it shows the Classic Settings (i.e., File, View, Play...).

With iTunes, you can change any information about the song/album/data much easier than you can with WMP11. iTunes can permanently change the IP3 data (album artwork, info, etc...) about the song when you make changes. WMP11 only makes a temporary visual change. If you move your songs elsewhere, the altered changes you made to the data doesn't go with it.

Well, I'm not going to go into full detail about how much they need to serious work on this, and how this program does not meet my needs, so I really recommend staying with WMP10 or with the version you have installed now until they fix this program. But since I need a program to use for listening to music, I'll stick with iTunes for now.

A Quick Note From Ryan

What I just wrote about me not going back to school, I wrote it so that you know that I am not going back to school, not to make you feel sorry, bad or responsible for me not going back. Since I still have the option to choose before the school year started, I chose family first, not school. You only get one family, but many chances to always go back to get an education.

So, if you are feeling like you "caused" this from happening, please, don't be. Know that I still have a good paying job and that I am still happy with the way things are going in my life. May be a little hectic, but I'm fine.

Oh, 2PM. Time to start getting ready for work...

One Way, Or Another

Remember my answer to one of the questions that was asked last month, how I said that something may happen tomorrow and it may cause you to change your plans, well that is happening to me right now.

Since I am seriously needed by my family right now, my plans to go back to school have now been put on hold. As for when I plan to try and go back to school, that is a unknown question. So this means that I am not going back to school this year.

It's just that I have been doing a lot more around here than what I am use to doing around here. Plus, I have to deal with the craziness that goes on in my own personal life (the stuff that kept me busy before, side job, work, friends, etc...), and so by the end of each day, I am just over exhausted.

So if you see or hear of me sleeping a lot, please, let me be...

I may have to go back to my old plan of reading my A+ book that I have, and try taking the test sometime in the future... Who knows?

It's More Than Pretty Sweet...

Yesterday (5/16), I went into Best Buy to purchase the new Flippin' Sweet Collector's Set of Napoleon Dynamite. I skipped the main movie disc (disc 1), because I have seen the movie a couple of times (lol, yeah right...), and went straight to disc 2. It really is worth watching. It has so many bonus features of behind the scenes that they didn't include on the first DVD.

Run Away Groom

"What kind of wedding do you want?" - Tristyn

A Western Wedding, no questions asked... I'm just joking. I'm just reciting something Jeff Foxworthy said. He said he asked someone what kind of wedding they had, a big or little wedding, they replied, "Western".

I really do not care. I know that do not want a large wedding, that is for sure. I don't deal well with large crowds, especially since I am one of the three people they have their attention set on (me, bride and minister... or whoever marries people).

And to tell you the truth, I wouldn't mind eloping... But when the time comes, I will deal with however it happens then.

Blah Blah Blee Blah

"How long does it take you to write a blog entry?" - Tristyn

Good question. That all depends on the type of blog entry I am trying to write.

Since, I already have the coding structure for the blog entry already made, that helps me save time there (how everything is aligned, like the blog title is up at the top in orange, the entry is 3/4 of the left hand side and the pictures are always to the right...). Second, I have to know what I am writing about. If it is like these question entries, then not very long (5 minutes to 1 hour).

However, if it something completely out of the blue, a random blog entry about something I did, it could take even longer. This is because sometimes I have to do a little research for the entry. And sometimes while doing the research, I get side tracked on reading more than I should, or I read about something else.

And don't forget about pictures. Most of the time, I have to go searching through the web for photograph/s to post along with the entry. Or sometimes I will post a video. So, I have to do all the editing so the video will fit on my server, and to make sure that it is a MP4 (QuickTime) format.

Last thing I worry about about is grammar, spelling, and the coding (the kind you don't see). And, when I make a mistake and someone catches it, that adds more time to the clock.

So, the answer is, anywhere from 10 minutes, up to a _total_ of 6 hours (maybe even longer) to write the entry. This is the price I have to pay for writing my own code... But to me, I love it! I'm in control here.

(Even though this is not all the details of how long it takes me to write a blog entry, it's to hopefully give you the idea of writing a blog entry my way.)

- Oops! I should have just said, "Press it once" when I told you to press the Refresh button on the 1st... I had 5 hits/33 page views that day. Normally, it would have been, 5/5. Although I like those high numbers, I still wish I had just said "Press it once".

- I have submitted a few of my pictures of my old and new iPods to iLounge.com. Since they don't categorize each picture page by a single web address, they do it by Search results. So these are my pictures...

- Napoleon Dynamite
- Hole / Moab
- Snickers

... Come folks, vote and give these pictures a "5"! ... Oh, if you own an iPod and you submit/have submitted your own personal photo(s) to iLounge, let me know and I'll post a link to them from here.

- Did you know that it was once considered a BIG no-no to rip your CD's to put them on your computer, MP3 player or burn them...? It seems that NOW, we are finally allowed to start ripping our CD's.... (snickering).

- Brian sent me this URL, check this site out for deals on computer accessories: www.woot.com. What it is, is a web site that has products for sale, but they display them one item at a time, for every day.

- I maybe going out to California in July to visit JoAnna. It depends on whether or not she can get some time off from both jobs to hang out with me for a few days.

- My Napoleon Dynamite webpage finally passed the 3000 page view mark on May 11, 2006 at 8:41:02 PM. If you are wondering how I know the date and time, like this blog, I have a counter at the bottom of the page.

- I finally went and seen The Benchwarmers with Shannon (from work) not too long ago of me posting this. It was funny, but not as funny as I though it would be. Well, there will be other Jon Heder movies to come...

I'm In

Yesterday (5/13), I received a letter in the mail from SLCC, and it said...

Dear Ryan:

Congratulations! You have been admitted to Salt Lake Community College for enrollment in the Fall Semester 2006 beginning August 23, 2006 as a student with a major of Continuing Education.

...The remainder of the letter explains what I need to do finish getting enrolled.

Well, this is it... No turning back now.

Happy Mother's Day

I just wanted to wish all the mom's out there, Happy Mother's Day.

As for the picture on the right, luckily I never had to go through with this horror event as a child. I was lucky enough to get my hair cut from a professional. It wasn't until I was older (age 20+) that I started shaving my head by myself (or with the help from others, at random times).

Welcome To Utah... Now Go Home!

That is what my old friends and I would say when we use to go <~...static...~> and see cars with out of state license plates.

"What are your views on this whole immigration thing that's been going on?" - JoAnna

First off, I have no problem if someone from another country wants to come to the US to start their life over for a brighter future. Just as long as they actually go through with the process of taking the test to become full US citizens, and they get a job! It does make me mad that many of them come over here and end up leeching off of the government (hang on, let me finish...) while I work my ASS off to barely get by. And it's not just immigrants that do this, it's also actual citizens that were born in this country who do this leeching as well. So don't think I am aiming at one group here.

It also pisses me off when someone comes to this country and they want us to adapt to their ways of life, and for them to not learn English (US) at all. If I was to move to another country, you better believe that I would have to learn their way of life and use their language...

To Start, Press the ANY Key...

"How many hours do you spend on the computer (work, home, customers, etc.)?" - Tristyn

I'm lucky my blood isn't electricity by now. I am going to have to say... More than 8 hours a day. This includes me being at work, at home, my parent computer and working on other customers computers.

Gosh Darn It!

I was originally going to use the actual G and D-words, but I think this one helps keep the blog toned down.

You are probably asking yourself, why am I so upset? Well, yesterday (my only day off this week), I finally went into SLCC to apply to take the A+ class in the fall. But that is not why I am upset. I was actually feeling good about signing up for school again couldn't wait to post it on here.... BUT--

On the way to go pick up Tristyn's car from the mechanic shortly after leaving SLCC, as I got onto northbound I-15 at 45th South, a diesel that was in front of me, flicked a rock at my NEW WINDSHIELD!!! Well, Tristyn wrote down all the trucks information and we called he company whose name/number was on the side of the diesel. They later said that they don't have any trucks that deal/drive north of Lindon, Utah. Bull-Honky! Then what the heck was this truck doing in Salt Lake? Joy riding?

Well, I need to call them back and talk to them again. Hopefully they will replace it. If they don't, I may have to press legal charges, or take the fun route and call Get Gephardt. I'll let you know in a few days...

Wouldn't you be a little TO'd if this was your car and your new windshield that you had for 10 days and paid $120+ for, was now ruined?

Sitting Here... Dreaming...

"What would you do if you won a million dollars?" - Tristyn

First thing I would do, is dance! Who wouldn't? Even if I suck at the little dance I was doing, I wouldn't care because I would now be rich...

But then I would make plans to move out into my own place. After that, I know I would help my family and friends out with some spare pocket change... ; )

OH! Oh, oh! --- Finally buy an Apple computer.... Or Apple stock, depending on the rate at the time...

Oops! I Did It Again...

At least I caught myself this time before too much time had passed by.... And NO!, I did not ruin another iPod Nano! ...Gosh!

I forgot to answer the one question that I personally asked you when I posted that second list of questions on the 3rd of this month. "If you are single, what are the qualities/specifications you are looking for in a mate?"

I am looking for someone that can help keep me in line, but also know when to have fun (jokes, pranks).

I am also looking for someone that knows how to keep things clean. I'm not saying, that our place would have to be sparkling clean everyday... It's just that I dated this girl and she even though (I think) she had no job (I never asked) and that she still lived with her mom, their house was a mess. To me, that is really disgusting. I mean, even though I don't have my car or room cleaned/straightened up 24/7, I do get around to cleaning, straightening up and organizing things so I know where things are. (You learn to want and not want things from those you have known in your past...)

I would like someone with the same qualities and interests as me, but I would also like someone with interest of their own so that I have something new to try. ... Oh, and someone who doesn't drink and/or smoke. Oh, she can't be a hippie too, cause ... "hippies suck". Albinos, need not apply! (lol)

I could tell you more things, but I think that I have enough for now.

There Is Always A First To Everything

Right before my work closed Saturday night (not too long ago), I had two ladies come through my line. However, I could tell that they were not from the US because one of them showed me her passport when she used her credit card to pay for her stuff. Plus, they had accents and couldn't combine perfect English sentences. Plus, they were speaking to each other in their native tongue.

Anyways, I don't know why the older lady of the two did this, but she purchased coffee creamer. Now, when someone buys something, you never ask what they are going to do with it. You just know they are buying because they need it and are going to hopefully use that product in the right way.

While the other lady was packing her groceries, the one that purchased the creamer removed the seal from the creamer, and started to drink it straight. (Yeah, I know...) I didn't say anything because, A) I didn't want to refund it, and B) I thought it was funny as hell, because you don't know what could possibly happen if you drink that stuff without mixing it with coffee. Well, she will find out soon if it does anything.

If you are thinking that I made this up... Know this. I am not one to make things up... I don't have a mind that is that creative.

Yessss! More Questions

Alright folks, since I had literally NOTHING to post on here until the 10th (Wednesday), you could kind of tell that things are kind of slow right now. So, I asked JoAnna to send me some questions. She did, some really good ones too. Then, I was talking to Tristyn and she had me write down her questions. So, after totaling up both, I have about a months worth of questions. This should help take us in to June, possibly into July... maybe. Well, might as well get started.

"How old were you when you got your first real kiss?" - JoAnna

(Oh, why did I pick this one as the first question? Well, I have to answer it sooner or later.)

First real kiss, I would have to say................ 21 or 22.

The Secret Word of the Day Is...

Remember how I told you that when the power went out, I tried to write the entry in a notebook? Well, on the page behind the one I wrote on, I found something I wrote down nearly 5 years ago. It was a bunch of words that JoAnna had made up and that I know she still uses! I have to admit, I have used some, and some I will use every once in a while...

I have asked her for her permission to post this as an entry, and she said I could. So, while I was telling her a few of the words I had written down, she told me some more that she uses... So, I will be posting those here as well. But sorry JoAnna, I try to keep this blog as friendly and clean as possible (except when I am mad), so I will not be posting any of the bad or offensive ones... Ready? Try to guess what the word posted below is suppose to mean.

I... I Can't Breathe!

I just read on NapoleonStuff.com, that a special two disc set of Napoleon Dynamite, entitled, "Napoleon Dynamite - Like, the Best Special Edition Ever!" is planned to be release on May 16.

However, before I came very close to making a purchase on Amazon.com for this video, I quickly looked at Best Buy's website...

Anyone want to guess what comes along with the video if you purchase it there??

...2 Head Knockers (Napoleon and Kip Dynamite Head Knocker) and a set of 5 exclusive iPod skins (5 brand new designs) for the Nano (3) and Mini (1) and the 20/40 GB (1). Dang it! I want one for mine!!!

I..... I have to sit down. This is all too much for me. The room is spinning...

Knowing Me, Knowing You -- Part II

On March 14th, I posted the questions that you guys asked me earlier. I heard back from some you, but not all.

Well, some of you have wrote in again asking me new questions, and I answered them for you. Now it is your turn again. Simply copy and paste the questions below onto a word document (Notepad, so you can save it if you don't finish answering all the questions at once) and then paste them into an e-mail and send it to me. I would like to know a little about you as well...

< -- Start -- >

Re-site your favorite movie quote and explain why it's your favorite?

What is the one phrase that just really gets under your skin when you hear it?

Do you have any phobias and if so what are they?

What is one or more things that people don't know about you that you want them to know?

Do you think celebrities make good governors?

What is the weirdest thing you have ever eaten?

What are your views on gay marriage?

Who was your first crush and did it turn into a relationship? If not, why not??

What is the sweetest thing you have ever done for a girl/boy?

How did you become such a big Napoleon Dynamite fan? (Optional Question, or replace ND with something you are a fan of...)

What's your earliest memory? And how old were you?

What is the best thing that has happened to you so far this year?

How much time do you spend sleeping?

What got you into computers? (Note: If you are not into computers, state (hobbies,
interest, etc.) what you are into and how you got into it...
)

What is the most interesting thing you have seen or been to?

< -- End -- >

Now it is my turn... I can think of one question at the moment. (Dang I should have thought of more).

"If you are single, what are the qualities/specifications you are looking for in a mate?"

You can send your answers to me by e-mail, or by using my comments page (probably easier by sending it by e-mail). Remember, this is for fun and I will not post your answers on my blog. This is only between you and I.

Whoo-Hoo! Four Day Weekend!

I recently had the past four days off of work. It was nice, but I wish I did a lot more than what I did. However, since I did some fun stuff, I thought I might share it with you.

Friday, I was originally going to take my car in to have the windshield replaced, but since they were booked up, I was only able to schedule an appointment for Monday. I was also going to go visit SLCC about schooling, but that never happened. Mowed the lawn, shipped a package to JoAnna, checked out some stuff at the library, bought my new iPod and hung out with Tristyn... that's pretty much all I can remember about Friday.

---

On Saturday, since Tristyn's cousin is now home from Iraq, his family held a Welcome Home party at Riverside Park near my work. Tristyn invited me to go sometime last week, so I couldn't say no to that. It was free food man! No, jk! That's not the real reason why. For someone who serves your country (when I personally can't... meds), you go! Well, we were at that for about an hour and a half, then Tristyn and I left the party and headed up to Preston to get lottery tickets.

After arriving in Preston, we tried to take pictures, but the scenery of where I wanted to take the pictures didn't look that pleasing. Plus, trying to get to the spot where I wanted to get to was a joke. The road was so damaged, it was sad. You can see the comparison on the right. The picture on the left was taken on August 4th, and the one on the right was taken Saturday. It wasn't just that little hill there, it was the entire dirt road that you have to drive on to get to that hill. (NOTE: With new glasses, Idaho is even more awesome to visit!)

However, after finally getting off of that road, we went over and took pictures of the llamas. If I overheard right last year at the Napoleon Dynamite Festival, they couldn't get Dolly (the llama that played "Tina" in ND) to be part of the event because she was pregnant. Well, if she was, she had her baby. They were not shy and came right over to the fence. I had to keep warning Tristyn to not get so close because llama's do spit (...But to make sure that she really had a baby, I'll ask the next time I go up).

We went and had dinner at Big J's. Then tried to go bowling (I don't know about Tristyn, but I was exhausted for some reason), but was only able to bowl 2 games. Stopped at La Tienda for the lottery tickets and then finally stopped at Big J's in Richmond for fresh Strawberry shakes, then headed home.

---

On Sunday, I guess I was still exhausted that I just caught up on my sleep. All I really did was watch The Simpsons, King of the Hill and Family Guy... Oh, and I worked on converting videos for my iPod. At the moment, I have American Graffiti, Napoleon Dynamite, two MST3K videos, and a whole bunch of other random stuff. I would have more, but it takes anywhere from an hour and a half to 4 hours to convert a DVD to the right format (if it is successful in doing so). I tried to convert Star Wars Episode IV, but it just wouldn't work (no matter how many different ways I tried to do it). So I have decided against trying the other 5 movies...

---

Since I caught up with my sleep on Sunday (and going back to bed around 11PM that night), I woke up at 3AM (on Monday) and was up for most of the day. So, around 11AM, I had to get ready to take my car in to have the windshield replaced. Took it in, but I took Snickers with me. While they were working on it, I took her to Creekside Park. I watched a lot of people play disc golf (aka: frolf). That is something that looks fun, but it is something I could never play. I can't even throw a Frisbee right (lol). Well, after 30 minutes, we started walking back and paid for the windshield. Stopped in at CompUSA for a bit to visit... I mean, bug, Tristyn. Came home and was able to talk to JoAnna for a bit. It's always nice to talk to her (Sorry JoAnna, for not calling you later like you said I should have...).

Well, after talking with her, I went down to the library again to get a DVD I requested. I was copying the DVD, but soon fell asleep. Shortly after (around 5/6), I had to go pick up a family member at work. After that, my family and I went to my grandparents for a spaghetti dinner (that was the reason I took today off). Came home and just crashed. Then the dog woke me up not too long ago, so I thought I would post my entries for the day... and about my day(s).

Things I Forgot to Answer

Another question that I asked, but forgot to answer.

"Do you ever see yourself going back to school (college)? If you went/are back in school, what courses did/are you taking?"

Yes I do plan on going back, and it is here I am making the announcement. Many of you that know me (personally), know I have been reading an A+ book for the longest time now and wanting to go take a test. Well, I have come to the conclusion that I'm going to put that $300+ I was saving up for the A+ test, towards schooling. That means, I am going back to school...

But what does that mean now? First off, I have to go visit SLCC to apply for any student loan or grant that I can get, and to also register for the class I need to take.

Second, if I am able to go back to school, that means that the posting of my blog entries may slow down quite a bit. But don't worry, that will not be for a while. I will let you know when that is going to happen.

New Month, New Picture

If you haven't cleaned out your cache/history/cookies or simply pressed the Refresh button on your web browser, please do so now. If you can't tell, I have currently changed the old picture to my blog and photo page. You may want to visit that page too and press the Refresh button (not a big change on that page)...

One Year Later

Well, it has now been one year since I started my Napoleon Dynamite web page. So far (as of me writing this entry), I have had 2,907 page views, (90%) thanks to Wikipedia.

When I started the web page, I registered the web domain address as 'voteforpedroonline.com' so anyone could remember it. Around October of last year, I registered the web domain address that I use now for the site, 'napoleonstown.com'.

I tried to cancel the rights (and payment fees) to 'voteforpedroonline.com', but I guess I was too late. So it looks like I am stuck with both addresses for another year.
