At Great-Grandma's Pool

We took the girls over to their great-grandmas HOA pool on the 30th of June to cool down after a hot summer day.

Sorry that it has taken so long to post a video, but we have been up in Salt Lake. Then, when we got back, I had to reinstall Windows on my laptop. Now that I have a properly working laptop, I can start getting more videos out. Once that is done, I'll get back to posting more pictures.

3 Videos!

On Friday, I put together 3 videos that I then uploaded onto YouTube. I am working on a 4th, but that won't be available for a few days... I hope.

In the first video, the girls play with their toys and then decide to attack me and the camera. Then they play and make faces with the screen door. Then, Chloe shows off her lid opening skills. Next, Chloe is the mastermind while Ady is the lookout when they try to figure out how to take down the gate. I placed the girls new shirts on them and I am trying to get them to show them off. I then get mad at them for beating up the dog, but then laugh when the dog sneezes.

In the second video (which continues where the first one left off), Ady finds it funny to rub her nose on my shorts... twice. But she doesn't like it when I try to wipe her nose with a Kleenex... and then wipes her nose on the couch. Chloe then spots Ady and decides to chase her my crawling. I then open the door so they can look out and they start pounding on the door. Later, Rachel went and purchased a toy to help the girls learn how to walk, but this toy also turns into a sit on and ride toy. Last, the Ady plays with their music, alphabet and noise maker toy.

In the third and last video, a co-worker of Rachel's decided to throw a pool party one day. This is the adventure of them sitting under the shade and eating cherries and other foods. We didn't get any video of them swimming, but we did get a few pictures (which I will post later). What sounds like hissing in the audio is the radio in the background.

Summer Solstice

Now that I have caught up on posting pictures, here are a couple videos that I have posted recently.

The first video was taken on my birthday (June 21, 2008) at Rachel's moms house (my mother-in-law) and then later at our place. The first part of the first video is of us just talking a playing with the girls. The section of video that shows the girls rocking to music was taken with cell phone. Then the last of the first video is of the girls play a little bit with their toys before we put them to bed.

The second video continues from the last video with the girls playing a little bit with their toys, chewing on the spines of their learning books and trying to team up so they can get the diaper box open... all that before we finally put them to bed.

More Good News

For those of you who may have missed it when I sent this information by Twitter earlier, but Rachel, the twins and I are heading up to Salt Lake around the weekend of August 9th. We are driving up there because August 9th is the date set for my 10 year high school reunion. Plus, we are also coming up there to celebrate the girls first birthday with my family.

We were originally planning on driving up there around the time of the Ute Stampede in July, but Rachel could not get that time off. Plus, if we were able to come up there to celebrate the girls birthday in July, we would only have had enough time to drive up one day, have the party the next, and then head home the next day. Same ordeal with the reunion. So this way, when we come up in August, we will be up there a good 5 or 6 days. That way we can relax and get to enjoy that time up there. Plus, with the price of gas today. No bueno for two trips!

Can you believe it has been almost a year since the girls were born. Time is flying fast, and I am enjoying every moment with them. Because the last time we were up in Salt Lake in January, we really hope to see you in August... Because it may be around Christmastime when we can drive up there again.

Happy Father's Day

I just want to say Happy Father's Day to every guy out there.

What have I been up to since I put my website/blog on hold? Well, if you read my Twitter about eating a hamburger from In-N-Out Burger, that is true. I still say that a veggie burger is much better than a hamburger. When I go to I-n-O again, I'll just get the grilled cheese and fries (my usual order). But if I am starving and a hamburger is all that there is when nothing else sounds better, I'll eat one.

The girls are FINALLY getting teeth. After ten months, Ady was the first one to get a tooth, but Chloe was the first one to get teeth on the top gums.

Oh, as a promotion for my business, I am giving out an iPod classic, iTunes gift cards and Gift Certificates to my business. If you want to enter, click here. Drawing ends on August 31.

I was going to have magnets made with the same layout as my business cards, but it would have cost me $300 for 1250 magnets to be made (I haven't even handed out 1/4 of my 1001 business cards). So I ended up going to Staples... or was it Office Max???, and bought 2 boxes that have 100 magnets in each box that you peel off a protective cover and then lay the business card on top. After I finished putting together the first box of magnets/business cards, I took them and placed them on the refrigerator (yes, I know... 3 are missing to make a complete 100).

Chloe is walking now. Ady, she is still taking her time. But Chloe can be standing up against the couch and we hold our hands out as we are a good 5 feet away from her and she will walk to us.

I am still mowing my section of the association I live in. It's a lot of work, but it's nice to have a little extra spending money since times are tough for everyone right now. But for the first half, I was borrowing another association members lawn mower. I got tired of asking to borrow it and went out and bought my own. So, when and if we ever move from here into a real house (non-HOA), I will have a mower and trimmer.

I've mentioned the TV, the new laptop, the stickers on the van... Oh, I had a sticker placed on the back/top of my laptop. This way, if I am out in public, I can advertise my business while I use my computer.

Oh, after a year an a half, I had to buy a new phone. My RAZR was acting faulty on me (the girls would play with it), and I would tap it on things to see if that would fix it. Finally I tapped it a little too hard on the cup holder in the van (because I was mad), and it broke it. It still worked after I did that, so I was able to get all my photos and videos sent to my e-mail for back-up... then I let one of the girls play with it and the paper cable that connects the keypad to the screen finally disconnected.

I sold my car because we had three cars, the Neon was sitting out on the street most of the time and in May I needed to register it-- But it was not worth it to do it. So I sold it within two hours of writing "For Sale" on the back of the window. Since we have owned the van for a year now, and now that it is June, we needed to have the van tested to have new year stickers placed on the license plates. So while I was paying to get stickers, I paid to get personalized plates as well. They will say "IPOD" when we get them. Cool, huh?

But that is all I can think of that happened during that time. If I can think of anything else, I'll post it later.
