I Knew This Day Would Come!

While at the store this morning, guess what magazine I happen to run across? It was right under People. I am honored!

Just kidding. You can actually create your own magazine by going to MagMyPic. You can also order the cover too. But remember, they keep a copy of the image and let people rate them. So although it will be fun to create a cover, if you don't want someone else to see that image, don't upload that picture.

Videos from the Cell Phones

Over the past year (August 2007 to now), I have taken a few videos with my cell phone (actually the two I have had) and I recently recorded something that everyone has wanted to see... But I thought I would post ALL of these videos in three separate video (since the total length was 23 minutes).

Visiting Great-Grandma & Grandpa

On Monday, August 11th, Rachel, the twins and I, drove over to my grandparents house to visit with them for a few hours and to let my grandmother teach Rachel how to make the families favorite spaghetti sauce (delicious!).

We mostly took pictures (coming soon), but here is the video of them playing on the back patio and with the hose/sprinkler.

The Twins Birthday Party In Salt Lake

While we were up in Salt Lake for my high school reunion earlier this month, we had a family party for the girls to celebrate their 1st birthday. We let them open presents, had a BBQ and then let the girls eat their little cakes. These cakes were hand made from the bakery at my mom's work. From the way they were playing with and eating them, they must have tasted much better then the ones we gave them on their actual birthday. I tried some of the chocolate cake that we gave them on their actual birthday and they were horrible!

Visiting Great-Grandma

On our way up to Salt Lake, we stopped and chatted a bit with my grandma in Nephi. The girls got to play with the baby kittens and we also took pictures as well.

Just to let you know, when the train (in the video) was traveling by, whom ever I was holding, was gripping the back of my shirt very hard because she was scared. lol.

Our New Play Slide

In the video of my parents arriving in St. George, what you didn't see (because I edited it out) was my mom telling us that they were going to buy the girls a slide (the slide shown in this video below) when they arrived into town. But when they got here, both Wal-Mart's in St. George didn't have it in stock, and so my mom was upset because she wanted to see them play with it while they were down here.

So shortly after they left town, my dad and I (over the phone) ordered the slide online and had it shipped to one of the stores in town for free. It arrived on the 6th (the day before we were suppose to drive up to Salt Lake) and the girls and I went to go pick it up while Rachel was at work. I was unable to put the slide together until after the girls went to bed that night, so they were only able to play with it for a little while in the morning before we left for Salt Lake. This is video of them playing with it...

Listen To That Computer Purr...

In 2004, back when I was working at Super Savers, I picked up the August 2004 issue of CPU (Computer Power User). On the cover was a computer (actually two of them) put together to resemble a muscle car engine. (Yes, that is a DVD-ROM in the scoop and computer fans on the front.)

While we were up in Salt Lake for the reunion earlier this month, I was going through my stash of stuff that was still up there in the basement. Turns out I have a box full of computer magazines and books that I forgot about. This is the only magazine (besides the 1000+ page book on How-To-Repair PC's) that I brought back home with me.

The reason why I am showing you this is that I too would like to build one of these and to have it displayed at car shows around Southern Utah (maybe elsewhere; who knows, we'll see.). Why at car shows, you maybe asking? Because I believe if I could build one, I could have it on display at these car shows and have people look at it. But to also help advertise my computer repair business where computers would never normally be allowed to be displayed at (unless they were custom built into a car) because there is normally no connection between the two... Until now.

It may be a while before I actually begin collecting parts, both computer and engine, to start building it since most of my time is spent on my business and watching the girls. Plus, while re-reading the article, the person who built this thing had to custom build/cut certain parts of the engine to make it look like you could buy them from a store and put them together with the computer, like they were meant to be put together as a kit. So if I have to do that, then it will be a good long while before I can show you mine... IF, I ever build one.

The Girls 1st Birthday Cakes

Well, here is the video of the girls eating their 1st birthday cakes. We don't know why Chloe started crying after we were done singing "Happy Birthday", but she did and Kristi did her best to entertain her and to keep her happy.

The Girls Birthday at the Park (Video 2)

In this second video of the girls birthday party at the park, I take and walk the girls through the water fountain part of the water park.

Then we let the girls relax and play with their gifts, and some of the toys that we were handing out to other kids.

The Girls Birthday at the Park (Video 1)

On the morning of July 26th, we celebrated Adelyn and Chloe's 1st birthday at St. George's Town Square Park. Rachel made invitations with her scrapbooking program and then handed them out to friends and co-workers so they could come, along with their kids (I really have not made any serious friends since moving down here, so I didn't need to hand any out myself).

We had a fruit tray and fruit drinks for everyone we invited and let them mingle and relax, while we let the girls and other kids play in the water area. I took pictures with the digital camera for a while, and then I took video afterwards of everything that was going on.

Everyone has been asking about the videos and when I was going to post it, but before I posted, I needed to first catch up and then post the other videos that we had taken before I posted the videos I took of this event. Since I have now caught up, here is the first video of two, of the girls birthday at the water park.

Sitting, Waiting, Wishing... (Part 2)

With Grandma and Grandpa now in town, the girls (as well as G&G) get to enjoy and play the new gifts that they were given.

Sitting, Waiting, Wishing... (Part 1)

Everyone sits around and patiently waits for my parents to arrive from their long drive from Salt Lake. When they do arrive, they have brought early birthday presents for the girls from other family members.

Why Am I On Blogspot Now?

As you can see, I am now posting my blog entries from January 2008 onward, on Blogspot. You are probably asking, "Why"?

Sure, I have been posting my blog on my own server space since I started it back in 2005, but back then, up until a few months ago, I have always had enough time to write what I wanted, work with my own HTML code, and then post it on my server. That took a long time to do for just one entry. With the girls and my business always keeping me busy, Blogspot now makes it so much easier for me to post more at an easier pace.

Also, if you have a Blogspot account (you can have an account and not even post your own personal blog) you Anyone can now post comments or opinions on any entry that I have posted on Blogspot. But please keep it clean or I will delete your comments and/or make it so that only Blogspot users can post comments if things get out of hand. Thanks.

And the best part, if I am unable to get on my computer to post an entry, I can post one from my cell phone... Like I did just here.

Up In Our Room

On July 17th, I let the girls head up the stairs to play in their room. In this video, you will notice something different from the other videos that I have posted on here. I found out (by accident) how to fade one video clip into another clip to make a smooth transaction.

At Great-Grandma's Pool

We took the girls over to their great-grandmas HOA pool on the 30th of June to cool down after a hot summer day.

Sorry that it has taken so long to post a video, but we have been up in Salt Lake. Then, when we got back, I had to reinstall Windows on my laptop. Now that I have a properly working laptop, I can start getting more videos out. Once that is done, I'll get back to posting more pictures.

Summer Solstice

Now that I have caught up on posting pictures, here are a couple videos that I have posted recently.

The first video was taken on my birthday (June 21, 2008) at Rachel's moms house (my mother-in-law) and then later at our place. The first part of the first video is of us just talking a playing with the girls. The section of video that shows the girls rocking to music was taken with cell phone. Then the last of the first video is of the girls play a little bit with their toys before we put them to bed.

The second video continues from the last video with the girls playing a little bit with their toys, chewing on the spines of their learning books and trying to team up so they can get the diaper box open... all that before we finally put them to bed.

Good Morning, Good Morning...

Can you believe that it is August already? Me neither.

The family and I have been busy this past week with getting the girls birthday ready, making sure the girls birthday went okay, entertaining family and making sure we had fun on Rachel's birthday. Plus, I have had many jobs the last part of last month. So we have been bu-sy!

Well, I had enough time yesterday to finish posting my pictures of the girls birthday. Now, I am working on posting videos, starting from my birthday back in June. It will be sometime this week when the first video is posted.

Also, just a reminder, we will be heading up to Salt Lake next week (August 7th or 8th) for my 10 year high school reunion next week. So there will be nothing posted except twitters on here for a while.

The picture of the girls this morning during breakfast. We put their hair up in pig-tails, and this is what they look like when we take the rubber bands out.

And finally, if you haven't noticed on the menu bar, there is now a Store link. As of right now, there is only the BHS Class of 1998 Memory Video (DVD) and a place to donate a dollar or two to help keep this site up.
