Summer 2015 - Week 2

Sunday, May 31, 2015
The girls were able to blow bubbles before I had to go into work that evening.

While I was at work, someone backed into the front bumper of my car. My parents and the girls came to visit me and say "Hi" while I was at work.

Grandma let them make crafts out of popsicle sticks and the melting beads.

Since I had to work at Big O Tires that morning, Grandma Sheila had the girls make butterflies on paper using melted crayon shavings.

Later that afternoon, since I had the evening off at Dan's, I took the girls hiking again up at Donut Falls in Big Cottonwood Canyon since we missed out on seeing what it looked like last summer.

The water was coming down too fast, so I didn't want to risk my life and the girls lives trying to cross the stream to be able to climb up to see the actual Donut Falls [My video].

The girls saw this old tree stump that someone had carved notches into to resemble a checkerboard. So I found light and dark colored flat rocks around the stump, and placed them on it so they could play checkers.

After getting home, the girls helped me fix a laptop screen... and by "help", I mean, watched movies on their tablets in the same room as I worked on it. :)

I worked only 4 hours at Dan's before going home with a migraine. But the night before, after coming home from the hike, we stopped to grab snow cones, but the shack was closed. So after laying down and getting rid of my migraine, I took them (after they ate dinner) to get snow cones.

I had to work both jobs this day, but when I got home later that night, Chloe was up waiting for me because she had a bad dream. We cuddled until she fell asleep.

I didn't have to work either job today, so the twins and I went with Grandma Sheila to lunch, then to the Aquarium.

After spending most of the afternoon at the Aquarium, we headed home, hopped in my car, grabbed a bite to eat, and then drove up to Jordanelle to go fishing.

I had to work both jobs this day, so Grandpa Paul watched the girls until Grandma arrived home. They then packed up their suitcases and drove down to spend the next two nights in Nephi as a little get away.

Once again, I had to work both jobs. Today was Free Fishing Day, so Grandma took the girls fishing where we went fishing last year, but they didn't have any luck just like last year.

Summer 2015 - Week 1

Saturday, May 23, 2015
Tasha and I drove down to pick up the girls to bring them up for the summer, but we all stayed the night in Mesquite to have a little fun in the arcade and had ice cream.

Sunday, May 24, 2015
We had breakfast and then went swimming for a while.

After swimming, we grabbed lunch and then headed north to Salt Lake.

Monday, May 25, 2015
With Monday being Memorial Day, I didn't have to work at Big O Tires today. But I did have to work at Dan. But the girls put together a giant floor puzzle of Tinker Bell and Friends.

Tuesday, May 26, 2015
The next day, the girls found the beads that you melt after you make a pattern or whatever.

They made a bunch of Minecraft characters.

I went to work, but since there were too many people, I asked (begged) if I could go home so I could be with my girls. So when I got home, we roasted s'mores over the barbecue grill.

First, the girls and I went bowling.

Then after getting home from Dan's, I took the girls to The WAIRhouse.

Came home and they planted desert plants...

...And painted mugs with Grandma Sheila.

Ady lost a tooth...

...And the Tooth Fairy came in the night.

Had to work Big O Tires, but after getting off work we all watched the RiffTrax version of Jurassic Park. We didn't finish, because we had to head over to Aunt Annie's house to make home made pizzas...

Went for a walk...

Played a game...

And the girls received a gift from Aunt Annie (all the way from Italy).
