Summer 2015 - Week 8

Sunday, July 12, 2015
Before I had to go into work, I took the girls to an early matinee to see "Minions".

Tuesday, July 14, 2015
On the evening of Tuesday, we asked for the entire family to show up to have a little party for the girls to celebrate their birthday before they went home.

Wednesday, July 15, 2015
Early in the afternoon, grandma let them make and blow homemade bubbles outside.

Then later in the evening, Aunt Annie took them to Color Me Mine in Foothill Shopping Center.

Friday, July 17, 2015
Our last day to do anything and cram as much as we could into one day... First stop, bowling with Tristyn and her boys.

... and then off to lunch with them as well.

Then it was just the 3 of us again, so we hurried up to Silver Lake to try fishing one more time. No luck, but the girls saw lots of baby ducks.

We were going to head up and over to Park City to get ice cream, but we ended up heading back down the canyon so that we could get grandma and grandpa to head over to Boondocks.

Mom was on her way up to Salt Lake to pick up the girls to take them back home. We had a lot of fun this summer, but I promised the girls that if I get another second job, I will not work it while they are up here so we can have even more fun and not have me miss out.

One more picture before they hit the road to head home. Love you girls!!!

... and that my friends, was the Summer of 2015.

Summer 2015 - Week 7

I had to work every day, except the two days that we drove out to Vernal.
Sunday through Tuesday, I worked both jobs.

Wednesday, July 8, 2015
The twins, grandma Sheila and I drove out to Vernal to go see all the dinosaur exhibits since this was still a dinosaur summer. But we took a pit stop at Daniel's Summit Lodge.

Made it into Vernal okay. Checked in and then drove around town checking out the tourist spots since many things were closed.

After dinner, we let the girls swim. Here I played with the panoramic camera. How many twins are there?

Thursday, July 9, 2015
The next day we first stopped and checked out the Utah Field House of Natural History State Park Museum in Vernal.

After that, we headed over to the Dinosaur National Monument Visitor Center and Dinosaur Quarry.

Then we continued on the road to see the petroglyphs.

After this, I had my mom drive to Dinosaur, CO... so I could say I've been to Colorado.

But it was lunchtime and we stopped to eat in Dinosaur.

We headed back to the hotel to let the girls swim and take it easy after a busy day. The next day, drove back to Salt Lake because I had to work an evening shift.

Saturday, July 11, 2015
I got off work early at Big O, and so I came home and cleaned up and took the girls to get our yearly free slurpee on Free Slurpee Day. (But shortly, I had to leave to work an evening shift at Dan's that night)

Summer 2015 - Week 6

Note: My schedule at Big O changed to M, T, W and Sat. So with me working Sunday night, all day Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday, and Thursday night, there is not much I did with the girls.

Thursday, July 2, 2015
After getting off work at Dan's, I bought a flower that I was going to give to Tasha. But after our conversation on the phone on the way to see her, I didn't really want to see her anymore and didn't want to give the flower to her anymore... So I lied and went home. And that was the last time I talked to her in person, and I threw the flower away.

When I got home, I saw that the girls had baked cookies of Minions.

Friday, July 3, 2015
I asked for Friday and Saturday off from work (Didn't work Friday's anymore at Big O and they were closed on Saturday). So this year, I was able to go up with the girls and my parents in one vehicle and didn't have to be back to work on 4th of July like last year. So we woke up, packed up and headed up to Logan, Utah. We were a little early on checking in, so we drove north and stopped at the Pepperidge Farm in Richmond, UT.

Then continued up to Franklin, Idaho to play a few scratch tickets at La Tienda and have lunch.

On the way back to Logan, we stopped off at Casper's Ice Cream to have ice cream to cool down.

Made it back to the hotel to try and relax, and to let the girls swim.

Then we ordered pizza and ate it at the place where we watched the fireworks.

And they goofed off until the fireworks started.

Saturday, July 4, 2015
On Saturday, we woke up and had breakfast at the hotel. My mom drove my dad over to the car show, and the rest of us went to Home Depot to let the kids partake in the kids activities.

We stopped and shopped at Walmart, picked up Grandpa Paul, and then headed back towards home. But along the way, we stopped and had lunch in Odgen, and then stopped off at Hill Air Force Base.
If you can, look in and see the girls standing underneath the airplane. They are under the word "AIR".

After looking in all the hangers at the many types of planes, and browsing through the gift shop, we headed home.

Since it was the 4th of July, I bought the fireworks earlier this year and was planning on taking the girls out to the Great Salt Lake (near the Saltair) to roast hot dogs, make s'mores, light fireworks and light the Chinese lanterns I bought online. But as we were driving out to the Great Salt Lake, the weather looked meaner and it keep raining harder the further we drove out. So I turned around and we ended up having dinner at a KFC/A&W in Magna. We drove home and since the weather was just fine on the east side of the valley, we were able to light fireworks. Since their mom hasn't spent 4th of July holiday with them in a few years, we set it up so my phone was charging while we had it on my special phone tripod near the garage (so it could receive a wireless signal) and let her watch us light fireworks.

After it was getting dark and we had lit off all the fireworks, we tried to do the Chinese lanterns... but they were duds, and we called it a night.
