Salt Lake City Comic Con 2015 (Saturday)

For my 2015 birthday present, my brother TJ gave me a ticket to the Saturday event of 2015 Salt Lake City Comic Con so I could meet and greet with Joel Hodgson, creator and host of Mystery Science Theater 3000.

TJ went all three days, but I thought I should show everyone his cool costume of The Scarecrow.

I drove with TJ and Garin and walked to the Salt Palace. It was crowded!!! But I found Joel and stood in line to meet him.

Here I am meeting Joel Hodgson of Mystery Science Theater 3000.

But I found out there was going to be a MST3K Reunion panel of all 4 members of the show during its (first) run later in the day, so I just walked around and tried to take it all in. (As of me reposting this from my girls blog entry, Joel had a Kickstarter and is bringing the show back for an 11th Season come 2016.)

I tried to find a good seat to record the panel, but this the best I got. If you want to watch the MST3K Panel (45 minutes), click here.

After the panel was over, I was desperately trying to find the other 3 stars of the show. I was going up and down the aisles trying to locate them. I was just about to give up and head home when I spotted them. So I had them sign my picture instead and then headed home.

Bill Corbett (L), Crow, Trace Beaulieu and Frank Conniff (R). By the way, Bill was the only one to recognize what my shirt said and meant (in fact, he was the only cast member to be on the show when the episode "Time Chasers" aired which featured the shirt the main character in the movie wore most of the time).

I took the TRAX back to my car in Midvale, drove over to Jaimi's to spend the evening with them, and then stopped at Walmart to get this frame for my picture.

I had a lot of fun. Thanks TJ.
